Wishing you all a Very Happy Thanksgiving

I wanted to take a break from all my cleaning to wish my blog family a very Happy Thanksgiving.

I have been busy this morning with cleaning. I am trying to get the house ready for the Christmas decorations. It is sooo hard to believe that this year is just about over. Our plans for tomorrow are to have lunch with DH's family and then supper with my family. Oh my! All that food. I dont know why things just cant be simple. I love this time of year, but I hate all the running that we have to do. Do y'all have to go from place to place or do y'all just stay put?

I usually have my tree decorated for tomorrow. I have the lights on it, just got to do the finishing touches. Wesley is excited about decorating. I dont know about Josh. The older he gets the less he cares. Sometimes I know how he feels. I just havent been in the spirit for a few years now. I dont know what's wrong with me.

Anyway, this is not why I dropped in. I hope that everyone has a wonderful day tomorrow. I hope that if you are traveling that you will be safe. So to my blog family..... Happy Thanksgiving.

I have never felt the pressure to go "elsewhere" for the holidays.

When I was young and in my teens, early adulthood.... I would spend Christmas Eve at my grandparents. Always. Tradition.

Christmas Day was spent at home with family.

Thanksgiving was also spent at home with family.

Then as I was in my 20's .... I would spend every holiday including Thanksgiving and Christmas Day (afternoon) with Granny & Pa.... my "adoptive" parents.... that were actually the parents of my best-friend.

I loved being there so it was no pressure to go.... didn't feel that I HAD TO.... I wanted to.

I hope that you have a relaxing and enjoyable Thanksgiving AND Christmas.
