I have been bad as I stated in my last post. I have been busy preparing for my first craftshow, and I have been sewing up a storm. So for this week my whatcha workin on Wednesday is trying to get everything priced and boxed up for the show. I have come a long way, and I have a lot more items than I thought I did. Here are a few pics of what things look like around here. My diningroom is a mess.
I found that I can put things in baskets and that seems to help me alot. I was afraid that I would not have an idea of how to display items, but I have some baskets and wooden crate things that I can display things in. I know that you cant tell in the pics but the things are lookin pretty good.
I am also workin on gettin the house decorated for Fall and Halloween. I know that I am behind, but with things as crazy as they have been I just havent bothered. Not to mention that the diningroom is my craft room, so I think that says it all. I just havent been in the mood, just wanted to get my things for the show done. So I started yesterday with adding a few things for decorations.
I had bought that window quite a few years ago. It still had the glass in it and the girl that had it for sale had painted like fall trees and leaves on the glass. I didnt really like the paintings, I mean it was very child like painting. But it helped our church out, so I bought it. Anyway.. I busted the glass out yesterday. I didnt think I was ever gonna get all the little pieces out. There was years and years of paint on it, so once I got all the paint off the glass fell right out. I dont know if I like the way it looks. It might need to be a different color I'm not sure. But anyway, here is what I have done to the mantel so far.

Hi Tammy!

LOVE your little window and the way you have it decorated:)
My, oh, my! You have been very busy! I hope your craft show goes very well for you :)
The window looks great. I like the simplicity of old windows. They can be used in so many ways and always seem to look great :)
Have a great day!
Leslie
Oh my...can I come over and shop??? LOL. You look like you have some wonderful crafts all packed up in that box. And in your dining room to. Good Luck on the show and you'll see you will get in the mood. Your mind has just been elsewhere at the moment.
Sandy
Thank you Jenn, Leslie and Sandy.
You know Jenn it's funny. I started making primitive crafts b/c my favorite shop went out of business. I thought if I teach myself to sew and make my own then I could always have the primitive items I love. Then I started making them for my bf, and everyone said you should get a shop and sell your items. The next thing I knew I had opened a website and making things to add there. Now I dont even make them for myself. How silly is that? I make them for others to enjoy. A great trade off I think.
Leslie, do you think the window looks good? I think it's too white against the brick. I dont know. I'll think about it. Right now it stands out, but I think it stands out too much. I love the old windows too. They add such a prim look to anything.
Sandi,
You can come and shop anytime you want to. Giggle. Thank you for the well wishes on the show. I was nervous, then stressed, now excited and when it's over I will probably be glad. Aint that the way it goes. I just need to get pics to add the new items to my site and I'll be set. But if you ever see anything you like just hollar.
I have the same problem! I am doing a show on the 11th, and I have stuff all over the house. Good thing my hubby is understanding!
I forgot! I have a favor:
We have a new drawing on the Prim Friends Network. Can you help me get the word out?
Shari I will be happy to post your drawing on my generous folks blog.
My hubby is understanding as well. Good thing, cause I mean this house is a wreck..

I have gotten a good amount done.. and have a about 40 to finish up in the next two weeks... Hope you have a great turn out for your show.. Ann of Crowing About Primitives
I completely understand....I have been moving stuff around and cleaning...and trying to get my fall stuff out...and I have two more shows!
You ask about my sign on my booth....I stenciled on fabric (two peices sewed together to get the length) and I have it over another peice of ginham fabric...and pinned to my tent with big safety pins! I made it at 2am the night before the show, I was sick of my old one! Feel free to ask if you have any more questions. Beth
Thank you Beth for the info on the sign. I hope you do well with your upcoming shows.
You've been one busy gal. Just look at all those wonderful goodies!
