Update on crafts....

I was in hopes of completing my table full of crafts by the end of the weekend. Well that didnt happen, but I did manage to get right much of them completed. All I have left to do is the hats for the crows and the wings for the angels. I have some round head snowmen that I want to get started on, but wont start them until I finish these. I did finish one witch's hat, but it turned out to be a flop. I dont know what happened it. So, dont know if I will try anymore of those or not? We'll see. Ok here are my completed items.

I do have one question about painting items.. I had one smelly cat that has paint that is darker in one area, but the rest of them turned out fine. I dont know what I did to this one, but anyway it turned out this way. So if you think you might know what I did wrong let me know because I don't have clue as to what happened.

Everything is looking great! You may not be done yet but Tammy, look back at your previous picture and see how far you've come! That's a lot of painting and stitching and sewing! LOL

The paint thing....were you adding anything to the paint to water it down? Maybe a fabric medium or something? Maybe you didn't have it mixed up as much as before. Also, there might have been something on the fabric, something you couldn't see that caused the paint to go on differently? IDK.

Have a great day! :)

Thank you Annasam. I know you can do it... Go for it, I cant wait to see what you make... Whoohoo....

Thank you Leslie,
I did get alot done didnt I. I had such a busy weekend though and with everything else that went on and finishing up a few things that is a major accomplishment..

I dont know about the paint thing. It just blows my mind. Im thinkin it was the fabric. I mixed enough paint to do all the painting at once. I dont know, beats me. I did put coffee in the paint, but thats it.

You are gettin there TAmmy! I love those little cats. All i can think of is the paint was not diluted well with the coffee when ya painted that cat. I have had that happen before too!

Hi Tammy!
So this is where you have been! haha! So busy! You have tons done girly! Looks so wonderful!

Hmm about the paint, well I've done that quite a few times and the girls above me have given you lots of great advice. For me, it's because I didn't mix it too well or dilute it enough. Either that or if you stained your fabric first and it was darker in that area. Also, you can still use it, just sand it down a tad and blend it in with the rest, then try re- staining over it. That is usually what I do, I hope that helps you out a little girl!

Have a wonderful day! ps..okay I'm not up to date, are you doing a show??? If you are best of luck, I know you'll do awesome!
Hugs,
Shay

I love it all, you sure are a busy lady. As far as the cats, they are prim, so there is no wrong look to them. Like Shay said, you can sand them & make that area more worn looking. After painting with my paint & coffe mixture I always sand a little bit. Looks great.

Shay, I have a show comin' up the second weekend in October. I am doing the show with Angie. I have been away, but I try to keep y'all posted. And now with goin back to work and workin' for 2-6 in the afternoon, Josh back at school, it's just crazy. Seems there are never enough hours in the day.

Thank you Nicole and Pam. I tried to sand the cat down and repaint before I finished it up. I think I will just leave'em the way he is. You are all right, he's primitive so I think that just adds to the prim look.

Hope everyone has a great day.
